An architecture and interior design studio in Kozhikode

Claycode Architects is an architecture and interior design studio based in Kozhikode, Kerala. We are a team of passionate people trying to create spaces that can match the beauty of the places they belong to: the light, the rain, the greenery and the unhurried rhythm of life in Kerala.

Our name carries our belief. Clay is the earth we build from: brick, laterite, terracotta, timber and stone, materials that age gracefully and feel at home in a tropical climate. Code is the discipline we bring to them: clear planning, honest structure and careful detailing, so that every space works as beautifully as it looks.

We work across architecture and interiors, which lets us shape each project as one complete experience, from the first reading of a site to the last piece of joinery in a kitchen. Courtyards, deep verandahs, filtered light and generous openings to the garden are recurring threads in our work, because they make a home cooler, calmer and more connected to the outdoors.

Every project begins with listening. We take the time to understand how our clients live, what they love and what their site offers, and we translate that into a design that is personal rather than generic. Light, ventilation, privacy and proportion are considered together, so that the finished home feels effortless to live in.

Our team brings architecture, interior design, operations and marketing together under one roof, so that design thinking, coordination and communication move as one. From a single room to a complete home, we bring the same care and attention to every scale of work.
