Quiet Courtyards

A series of inner courtyards designed as outdoor rooms. In one, timber posts and deep overhangs frame a seated Buddha on a stone plinth among ferns and grasses, with a pair of cane lounge chairs facing the garden for quiet mornings.

Another court is enclosed by tall plastered walls punctuated with arched niches. A frangipani tree rises from a circular bed set into the dark stone floor, and a still water feature holds a Buddha at its edge.

At night, a koi pond crossed by stone stepping slabs comes alive under soft lighting, framed by a perforated brick wall and lush tropical planting.
